Abstract Submission Policies
Policy for Abstract Submissions for 2021 Meetings Only
Due to the cancellation of the meeting at 2020 COSM, exceptions are being made for abstract submission for the 2021 meetings. Abstracts selected for poster or podium presentation at the 2020 meeting at COSM are eligible for resubmission to either meeting, regardless of submission for publication in the Triological journals.
Please Note the Following Exception: Those who participated in the COSM (May 2020) Virtual Poster Session may not submit the same abstract.
Submitting authors have agreed at the time of online abstract submission that the material has not previously been submitted to The Laryngoscope or Laryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology.
Submitting authors also have agreed at the time of online abstract submission that the material has not been submitted for publication, published or presented previously at another national or international meeting and is not under consideration for presentation at another national or international meeting.
The penalty for simultaneous submission/publication is prohibition from presenting at a Triological or COSM meeting for a period of three years.
Mandatory Manuscript Submission to The Laryngoscope or Laryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology
The Society retains the first right of refusal to publish any paper presented as a podium or poster presentation at a Triological Society Meeting. All abstracts accepted for oral and poster presentation are the property of the Society.
It is required that all abstracts/papers accepted for oral presentation at a Triological Society Meeting be submitted for review to The Laryngoscope or to Laryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology by the deadline outlined below. AUTHORS WHO HAVE NOT SUBMITTED A MANUSCRIPT PRIOR TO PRESENTATION AT THE MEETING WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO MAKE A PODIUM PRESENTATION.
Manuscript submission for poster presentations is optional but encouraged. Poster authors seeking publication of poster materials must submit to The Laryngoscope or Laryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology.
